This is my final copy of my two page spread. I have changed things around a bit. I've also added another picture because before it looked quite plain and there was alot of empty space. Now i think it looks much more busy but not to busy because if it was to busy it would look overcrowded. I'ts just right. I've also made the title much more bolder and bigger therefore it stands out more. It's very eye catching. Overall i like it.

Front Cover

The image on the right was the origanal shot of my model and as you can see the skin colour is grey so i edited the contrast on it and changed the colour scheme around a bit which brought me to the image above. This image is much more warmer and alive which looks better. It also makes my model look healthier.

This is my first draft of my two page music magazine spread. I have used only two font colours so that it looks organsied and ive also used the same colours that are on the front cover so that everything matches. I've used the same model on the front cover aswell but just in a diffrent pose.

I have changed the model on the front of my magazine because i prefer this picture. I've also edited a bit of the writing around to make it look better.

This is the music magazine cover that I have decided to start analysing.

On this magazine cover there is only a limit of four colours being used this is very typical of magazines as it makes everything match and look presentable. There is also only three fonts used which makes sure everything is in proportion and that there isn't too much going on which could make the magazine look messy or to busy. Therefore the magazine looks simple yet good. As the cover model they have chosen Fergie from Black Eyed Peas. This is good because Fergie is a well known woman and is quite attractive. She is in a sexualised pose which is eye catching this is also a medium shot. She has flesh on show which attracts a male audience as well as a female audience. She also is looking straight into the camera which shows she’s confident. This is a common convention of music magazines because it makes the reader want to read about the person on the cover therefore they used somebody popular. The model is also centralised. The word "Fergie" is also slightly bigger than the rest of the text this draws your attention to it.
The title "Blender" is set behind the models head this indicates that the magazine is a well known one so the reader will concentrate what else is on the cover instead. For example the model and the information on that front.

This is the picture after I edited it. I’ve made myself look much more tanned by using the burn tool on my skin. I've also used the burn tool around my eyes to give the impression I’m wearing lots of makeup. I've coloured my hair in blacker as well to give it a darker look. I think this edited picture looks much better than the original picture because it’s more attractive.

This is the picture I used on the main cover for my music magazine. This is the view of it before I edited it. I think this picture is quite good for a music magazine because I’m wearing headphones. This gives the impression that I’m involved in music in some way.

I changed the layout, the colour scheme and the fonts I’ve used on my final music magazine cover. I changed it because I thought the orange back round looked to childish and I thought it wouldn’t appeal to adults. The white back round looks better than the orange because it helps the writing and the picture stand out more. I made the writing colour scheme black and pink. I think these colours work well together. I also added more information to what is inside the magazine and a picture in the centre.

For my music magazine I first decided to an orange back round with yellow and pink writing. I choose this colour scheme because it’s very summery and bright and is quite eye-catching. I also used the font “pussycat” because I think it’s a very stylish font. I edited the corner of the orange back round to make it a lighter shade, this adds a good effect.

I am designing and making a music magazine for my second media project. I made a questionaire which would be answered by a variety of people to help me decide on varies details for my magazine. I have called my magazine "encore" this means "again" in french and is often used at concerts when the crowd wants to hear more music, therefore i thought this would be a good name for my magazine.

This is my final draft of my contents page. I have made it the same colour scheme as my front page so that it doesn't clash and it all goes together. Ive used a full body shot of my model to make her stand out more. I have also used the same font "pussycat" for the headline but added a couple more fonts aswell so that it stands out. I have edited Zoe again to make her looked tanned and her top a brighter shade of pink. Ive also made the word "Heworth" have a glow so that it stands out. I've also used the "Blur tool" to smooth the edges around my model and make her look more suttle.

This is my final attempt of my magainse cover. I am very proud of it. I have used two fonts becasue it makes it look neat and not to clumsy or tacky. I have changed the colour scheme to pink and black because i think it makes it stand out more and makes it look more attractive looking. I made the model have more of a tan by using the burn tool, this makes her stand out more because people with pale skin tend to blend in more and people with tans stand out because they look healthy. I have also edited my models face to make her look like she is wearing more makeup than she really is. I did this because my main article is about the makeup rule at school and how Zoe "my model" is rebelling agasint the rule. I have also added a sign that says "no make up" and crossed it out with lipstick this adds more emphasis to Zoe rebelling agasint the rule. I have also made the word "News" have a pink glow to make it stand out and i've made Zoe's teeth whiter and her top brighter pink.

For my project i needed to desgin a front page and a contents for a magasine for my school. I have used blue and yellow on this first draft because they are the school colours for Heworth. This is my first attempt of my magazine cover. Its quite plain but simple, sometimes the simplicity is the key because it draws attention to the headlines. I only used one font on this first draft because I didn't want to make it to complex to start with.
I dont think this first attempt it very good. Because it is far too simple and not much information on it. Its to plain and doesn't explain what the magasine is about. It doesnt really stand out either.
