Other roles

The other roles of my music video are going to be done by the other members of my group;

Emily Laws – Filming, Extra

Alysha Pearson – Acting, Directing

To fill in another acting part we needed we have decided to use a student from school who is flexible with his time therefore we can film as much as possible without delay.

My Roles

One of my many specific roles throughout the creation of our project is editor. Being editor I have to use programmes such as Imovie. It is very simple editing software yet it has all of necessary effects and transitions that we need to use. One of my other roles is one of the main actresses within the video. I will be playing the girl who gets stalked therefore I need to make sure that I play my character accurately in order to make sure that the audience understand who I am.

Inspiration

Because within our music video we have decided to have a strong narrative these music videos hold some of the qualities that ours will. The storyline to ours is initially about a famous singer who is stalked. It is quit powerful which is what we wanted because we want something that not only represents the song but tells a story. I particularly like the ‘Eminem – Stan’ music video as it also is quite a powerful storyline.

Ideas

My group and I have decided to do our music video to the song, 'Bruno Mars - Grenade,' this song is very powerful therefore we decided to go with a powerful storyline in order to make it stand out even more. We got lots of inspiration from other music videos which we watched and analysed in order to find out different ideas and come up with our own ideas as well.

New music video idea

Deciding on a new idea for our project was quite hard. But talking it over we have decided to take the challenge of creating from scratch a music video. To tackle the problem we had before we have also decided to cast only ourselves and people who are completely reliable and more flexible with time to film. By giving ourselves the main roles in the video we will be able to film more sporadically.

Change of plan

Unfortunately we have came to a point in our horror trailer were we have been forced to change our idea. Due to unreliable actors who we choose to participate in our trailer we have had to stop filming as finding time where everyone is free has been difficult and time consuming.
